When searching for an authentic Irani Feroza, or Turquoise stone its color is generally a bright sky-blue that may contain a slight greenish tint. Real Irani Feroza has a smooth texture with wax like dull sheen and its outer surface is homogeneous and non-transparent. On the other hand, the original stone may contain fine brown or black lines that are known as matrices that are in some cases artificial. It should be smooth so that when touching it with your bare hands, it has to be cold and as light as possible. Another aspect of the signal is its ability not to lose the color; while after exposure to sunlight or oils, the authentic Feroza would not change colors. In this case it is recommended that gemstones are bought from accredited dealers and preferably if the dealer could provide the gem with a certificate from an accredited gemological laboratory.
