I’m Risko Isic Head of Sirromet Winery, and I’m excited to share my journey and vision with you. With over two decades immersed in the Food and Drink industry, my career has been a rich tapestry woven with dedication, innovation, and a deep passion for excellence.

My professional journey began after completing my studies in Hotel Management at the prestigious École Hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland. This advanced education and diverse experiences laid the foundation for my career. I soon found myself at the heart of culinary excellence, working at the renowned 3 Michelin Star restaurant Fischerzunft in Schaffhausen. This formative experience was pivotal in shaping my understanding of operational excellence and culinary artistry.

My journey didn’t end in Switzerland. I brought my expertise to Brisbane, where I immersed myself in the city’s vibrant food scene. It was here that I made my mark by founding Mariosarti, a celebrated Italian restaurant in Toowong. For over five years, Mariosarti wasn’t just a restaurant; it was a realization of my vision for Italian cuisine in Australia, blending traditional methods with contemporary twists.

One of my most innovative endeavors was developing the premier fine dining experience on the Wheel of Brisbane. This project was not just about serving exceptional food; it was about creating unforgettable experiences with breathtaking views of the city skyline.

Throughout my career, my contributions to the industry have been recognized with numerous accolades from the Australian Restaurant and Catering Industry and the Italian Hospitality and Trade Association. These awards are not just honors; they are a testament to the hard work and creativity that my teams and I have invested in each project.

Now, as the Head of Sirromet Winery, I’m focused on merging my global expertise with the art of winemaking. At Sirromet, our mission is to craft premium wines that reflect the unique terroir of our region. However, my vision extends beyond the vineyard. I aim to elevate the wine tasting experience by pairing our wines with culinary delights, creating memorable and immersive experiences for our guests.
